About two weeks ago, I got my boxes of joy: Girl Scout cookies for $3.50 each! I got four boxes for $15 (I threw in an extra $1 for their activities funds or whatever they need it for). As soon as I got them, I talked with one of my most insightful friends, and the conversation went thus:

/me takes out a box of Thin Mints, waves it at Alice
/me takes a cookie out and starts eating it
Friend: (gasps)
Friend: Thin mints!
Friend: You bastard!
Me: They’re $3.50 each
Me: I bought four boxes.
Friend: Grrr.
Friend: I should ask my mom about GS cookies.
Friend: Last year she sent me an entire case of thin mints. It was nice.
Me: !!!
Friend: GS leader, remember?
Me: I wish my Mom would send me an entire case of that stuff!
Friend: Yeah, it was pretty sweet.
Me: So what did your dormmates do when they saw you with an entire case of Thin Mints?
Friend: I had enough to last me all quarter and to supplement movie night stacks and to treat my D+D group.
Me: mmm… tasty!
Friend: Surprisingly few of them were excited. I could not get my roomies to eat any.
Me: !!!
Me: I guess I can save my other box of Thin Mints for later… *takes out another cookie and eats it in front of Alice*
Friend: you’re a cold hearted man, Mr. Yeung.
/me laughs maniacally
Me: Tell your Mom to send you an entire case again.
Me: Then you can wave that in front of me
