At some point in time, one of my fellow EE friends (a damn good EE at that) pondered just how asinine gift cards/certificates are. Indeed, who in the right state of mind would give a restricted form of cash? But recently, I came across one of the most innovative gifts I have seen in a while: The UGC, or Ultimate Gift Certificate! Accepted absolutely everywhere (unless you’re buying an iPhone) and legal tender for all debts, public and private, the UGC is printed with a choice of legendary US history figures: Franklin, Grant, Jackson, Hamilton, Lincoln, or Washington! Collect them all!
