Yesterday, I read an article on Digg throwing around the possibility that some people are simply going to let the bank foreclose because their property values have dropped so significantly. I have a suggestion for averting it, but before you read my suggestion, please read the article yourself here: http://www.slate.com/id/2188982/pagenum/all/#page_start

(12:54:48 AM) SteVO: that’s why i don’t have one, i figure i’d break it fast
(12:54:59 AM) Me: These buggers are actually made to last.
(12:55:04 AM) SteVO: Hmm
(12:57:35 AM) Me: Oh, well… I’ll just tell my parents what happened
(12:57:50 AM) Me: See if they want to buy me a new multimeter…

It was only one year ago that I realized that various sites like to pull April Fools’ pranks. Here are some of the pranks I encountered in the sites I frequent:
Ubuntu Forums changed up its color scheme and added an “OMG pinK pOnieS” forum.

Fark.com had their server hacked by hamsters:

Woot.com had a fake Woot-off in which they listed many instances of a device that can give you 120 V at 20 W on a battery of sorts. The detailed image (which can be different from what is shown on the front page) changed accordingly. Here is one of them:

You can see a list of other pranks here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_1%2C_2008
